The car's short history: Bought it in June of 2003. Just got home from my freshman year of college and saved up some money, sold my Acura Legend and borrowed $2k from my parents to buy the car. $9k w/ 120k on the clock. After replacing the leaking BOV, bad plugs & wires, and installing a testpipe it ran like a dream. Then it started to get harder and harder to shift into 1st, so the tranny came out and apart and in went a new 1-2 sychro, 1st gear, 2nd gear, reverse gear, and reverse synchro (yes it's synchro'd on the 3/S). Also a new TOB, clutch, resurfaced flywheel, and 3" downpipe. Drove the car like that, with an intake and MBC for a couple years. Ran the 12.7 @ 109 at Island in the spring of 05. Spring of 06 I decided to take the car down to rebuild the engine, fix a reverse blockout issue, and install my 13T's and 550's. It went down in March, and in May it was back together. But, I didn't re-shim the end tapered roller bearings when I put the tranny back together so it melted some internals. In october I finally got a new tranny in, and a friend of mine (Hans GZP) dyno'd it. Some stuff wasn't hooked up right and the newly rebuilt engine spun a bearing. Fast forward to spring of 07, sold my motorcycle to buy a new OEM shortblock. Brought the car to Philly and installed the new shorty, drove it home to Williamsport in June/July. Since then, I have replaced my radiator & thermostat, tranny fluid twice, oxygen sensors, and installed an SAFCII, greddy profec-b, etc etc. Now I am dealing with a fuel leak around my pump assembly gasket and either a boost leak or a bad EBC solenoid. In addition to the damage caused by the hail in Muncy ... which Geico is trying to screw me over with. So that's the deal, hopefully I'll have a new hatch on this weekend and a -AN converted fuel pump assembly on a new gas tank soon after. Then I'll be tuning for ~16psi on the 13t's and 11's at the track. -Ryan

Love the front end conversion on the older body style. Great rims too. You don't see them that often anymore.

Newest update: removed the rear spoiler, fixed my boost leak. Now 10psi on the 13T's is maxxing out my stock injectors! Gotta throw the new gas tank in, and convert my fuel line to braided -AN stuff. Getting occasional partial throttle hiccups, I'm assuming it's something to do with the fuel leak.

Well it's the end of the 2008 season.
I've accomplished my goals! 2nd place in the NM class of the NEPA SCCA's SOLO competition, and 11.xx on pump gas! Wooo! Some updated pics, and some old pics I just found! Might as well update in terms of winter plans. :D :D
Picked up some JIC FLT-A2 coilovers and some Saner F&R sways with adj. endlinks ... I'm PSYCHED. Gonna try to get to some HPDE events at Watkins Glen in the spring / summer.

Haven't updated this in a while.
Well first, the JICs were a scam on ebay. FML. I did get my 2nd place season trophy for NEPA SCCA's NM SoloII class: ![]() I put in a new RPS Max clutch with an RPS lightweight flywheel. I moved back to VT after some life changes dictated that I move back in with my parents. Replaced my Aziens with 265/35/18 RE01-Rs: ![]() I decided to finish gutting my interior, and I undercoated the bare metal and some other misc. things like polishing: Then I re-painted the car. It was a single coat of Duplicolor Hot Rod black, and I re-rattle canned it with a 3-stage job and a lot more effort. Now it's matte all over and satin up front. After a bath: ![]() After Wax: ![]() Then my alternator died so I took out my A/C compressor, alternator belt tensioner and idler pulley, and ran a smaller belt right from my underdrive pulley to my new alternator. ![]() ![]() ![]() Next step was to clean up my interior. Old and busted: ![]() I used RIT dye to dye my nasty tan carpet black, and traded out my torn tan leather seats for grey cloth seats:

So now I have a damaged FG hood I need to repair, and it'll replace my current nasty hail damaged hood.
The other big thing is someone stole my Jeep, backed it into my car, and wrecked the Jeep. Here's the damage as it sits now... ![]() Hopefully it'll be fixed soon and I'll get started with the 2009 AutoX / HPDE season. Thanks for looking!
