I'm just going to pay someone to get me a job

And no not a referral service. I heard about this on a podcast but I want to try it for myself. Let me give you a backstory first:

-College (tech school) grad, Associates degree in Network engineering technology, Net+ certified.

-Unemployed

-Schools job placement ability is pathetic (geek squad anyone).

-Doing side jobs for cash.

I can't find anything for the life of me. Well I can, but I am not up to the expectations of said job as far as experience or schooling goes. It seems even the basic most entry level jobs want a bachelors degree and/or 3 years exp. How can a job be ENTRY and still want that kind of experience is beyond me.

I'm ok at interviews, I can definitely dress the part, my resume could probably be better, but there is really nothing I can seem to offer that an employer wants... at least it seems that way. I can't use an experienced-based resume because I have little.

I've been out of school for a while now, doing retail and or manual labor work only because it was there. I had a driving job that I kept for a few years as the pay was acceptable, but while there the hours were really long, like 50+ a week. Instead of looking for new work & continuing my certifications, I did nothing...

Now, what I had in mind, was to mass email everyone in my inbox that I know well & have them mail their friends and such. I am going to try this on craigslist as well. If that person gets me an interview that gets me a job in the field I choose, they get $150.

Does that sound good? Should I offer more? How should I word it?

Ok, go at it, I'm thicked skinned, so tell me what I need to here. Ohh and if your reading this and interested in the offer, it stands...

I think its worth a shot. Any chance you keep doing what you have been doing and just go get your Bachelors?

Market is very competitive, thats the biggest issue. I have an interview tomorrow at Quad656 for an IT position. You have to reach out. You cant expect to just send your resume and for them to call. I call them. Before I apply I call HR if the listing has no contact name so I can address my cover letter to the right person. Make yourself stand out. Youre basically selling yourself. I took some time and made up a cover letter thats different than the standard 'Im applying for this position blah blah blah.' If you want, I can give you some of my **** for reference, it may help. Ive been on the market for a little over a year, although most of it I had a job, still do, just not in my field. Ive learned A LOT just from interviewing and talking to other people (networking) and such.

Nothing, I have nothing negative to say about it. however I was once employeed @ Bestbuy and left on bad terms. I would prefer to not work in one of their establishments again.

not really- i rather hire someone who did phone support on enterprise software than a person who just fix mom and pop pc's
