Do you need a tune after Plenum spacer install

I was wondering after i install my lower plenum and upper plenum do i need to go get a tune or will my engine be ok?

with the VQ they run so lean u need to tune them as soon as you do any mods to be honest i would do a few mods at once and then get one tune. we an help you with all of that. PM me for info or call the shop at 215 855 5565 thanx, vince

u should get the apex safc II to tune it. jw where did u get ur spacer kit? i hav a max and we hav the same vq35. i already hav the spacer kit for the lower, upper intake manifold, throttle body, and the elbow. but i havn't tuned it. a guy of my maxima forum says the cars ecu will pick up the mod after a day or two. but like i said get the apex safc II for more power out of it.

I use ebay a lot b/c you can find some really good deals but i got my spacer kit from motordyne.com.

You'll be fine but to maximize your mods you should always tune for them. Either way your car will be fine with or without a tune with just spacers.

FYI, When I had my Z, I helped a freind put his in and it made a nice improvement without tuning.

with plentium spacers or high flow cats or just about any bolt on, air fuels are in the high 14's low 15's on the vq motors....we have done dozens and they all run lean...

5/16, b/c i want to put on a front strut bar at some point and the 1/2 inch you can't.

the spacer kit is def a great mod. the spacer kit i have was dynoed for a 10 hp and 12 lbs of tq gain.

but like i said dnt worry bout tuning if ur not running ur car for racing purposes. ur ecu will pick up the spacer kit.
