The wife and I are in the market for a new digital camera. The one we have now is a Fuji Finepix 2650. It's old and has 2.0 megapixels and 3x optical. It's a frickin' brick. Neither of us are "photographer" and we mainly use it for holidays and family gatherings, but I am using it more now for taking pictures of the CRX. Now that the car is done, we want to attend more meets next year and I plan to take lots o' pics. Our initial plan was to get another point and shoot like the Powershot, but I am wondering if we can get a decent SLR for just a bit more. Is it worth it for what we want to use it for? What's out there and what is decent?
