Well, I know, haha. Had my system up to 60 today while doing some sprinted driving, listening to that song from super troopers when they pulled the porsche over, and all of a sudden i lost all my bass. Look back and smoke is pouring out my box, LOL. I was like, ****...

Anyone have a sub for sale? haha. Probably blew my voice coil, can I buy new ones? If I can salvage the sub that would be nice. It's a Visonik, 500W RMS, 1000W peak,

I think my amp was putting out too much, I have to check it.

Are you sure the amp just didn't go into protect? does it even have a protect feature? lol when voice coils go, you usually don't see smoke POURING out of the box... You may have a wire touching somewhere, or a ground not hooked up right or something...

All cables are good, there's no reason the amp would of went into protect mode. It's a soundstream, not sure of the model, but it's big and blue lol, I can't remember, a little intoxicated right now.

it wasn't POURING out the box, but I mean i looked behind me and I could deff see a good amount of smoke coming out my ports

A sub wouldn't smoke unless there was an electrical problem with wiring. Did you tune your amp? Or did someone else

Um yess u probly burnd out the coil in the sub iv dun it a few times b4 it dose not smell good if u have to much power going to a cheep sub and its playing stedy like that song ( love that song I play it all the time to) it will burn it out the 1 12 I had in my delsol cought on fire it was a liltle funny couse ot was between the seats and I was ripping it out wile it was on fire to save the car

Okay well heres your problem....

Visonik is a GARBAGE brand to begin with. You should always use a better branded company known for its reliability and quality.

I personally use JL sub's i LOVE them my current system is 2 12" JL W3V2's powered by 800wRMS pioneer amp

But in the garage i have 3 12"W7's and 2 1000.1 JL amps i just cant use em in the neon hahaha

Best bet is start shopping around if you need help to get pointed in the right direction PM me
