DD Decisions?

Well I had an EG coupe. A dx. Ended up selling it because I wanted an ex for the power sunroof. I've been looking constantly, nothing has come up. I just came across a 96 200sx/sentra se-r local I can get for 2400. Its black on black, stock, 138k, vlsd. I don't know too much on them, I have my s13, so I have some idea on nissans at least. I'd like to mod it too, that's why the honda was my initial choice. Anyone think it's worth it? Or should I keep up with searching for another civic? I'd like to add that it will be a strict dd, though I wouldn't mind turboing it, that was a plan with the civic. Nothing insane though.

Yep. Sr20de with a vlsd stock. I'm trying to get ideas on which to go with though, sentra vs civic. I know the bluebird sr20det would be beast. Anyone on here with a 95+ ser with some input? Any issues I should look out for?

I'd take a civic over a sentra no matter what even though I'm an avid Nissan guy.

Well turns out the guy with the sentra lives in my neighborhood so I'm still going to check it out. I found another civic ex around an hour and a half away, waiting for the guy to get back to me. Won't hurt to check out the sentra though.

I presonally looked for a mid 90's SE-R. I would love to have one as a DD! I unfortunately couldn't find one in my area though.

theres a dude on here with a b13 sentra, but i cant remember his name. hes doing a sr20 build, but this is a b14 but the sr20 engines are mostly all the same. he could give you some input.
another awsome swap that you could do is the sr20ve, but these engines are kinda of difficult to get.

wanna know more about this motor?

I'd love a b13 se-r sentra. There's a red one around here with a fmic. I haven't seen any around here fs though. I'm on my way now to check out this one.

There's a shell for sale somewhere in jersey, it's been on craigslist for a while, but it's been stripped and I'm not sure the condition. Well, my overall decision on the sentra I just went and looked at. It's honestly pretty damn clean. It's a nice car and there's nothing wrong with it. Even has a nice system in it. I'm kind've looking for a cheaper car though cause I want to use the leftover money to get the car registered and ****. I'm still looking at EX's but this car is literally walking distance away. If he'd let it go for $2k (He has it for 3k obo, said he'd do $2400) I'd be all over it.

I will eventually. Like I said before, I still want another civic more. He's close by, and hasn't had any offers, so I'd like to check out a few civics first before I make the final decision to buy it. Also, the swap meet is this weekend so I'd like to look there as well.

Im suprised you are having a hard time finding a ej1. Or are you having a hard time find one one in your price range? Have you checked the classifieds on honda-tech.com?

I've been checking craigslist, cars.com, autotrader, autoshopper, ebay motors, clubcivic, here, njtuners, hondatech once in a while haha. Everywhere. I just want a 5 spd one under $2500. I'm looking for once close to or dead stock. Everyone I've found has been overpriced or rigged to ****. I need something I can rely on and that will pass inspection. As for the one in mickleton for 2600. Guy got back to me. It's primered, missing exterior moulding, and he's asking 2600 obo. I offered 2300, he said lowest he's going is 2500. :/

Finding a Civic for a good price right now is almost impossible. I know, I was looking for like 4 months straight until recently.

Honestly, you will probably have better luck finding yourself a shell and then dropping an engine into it, will also most likely be cheaper too. I don't know how much time or how much work you're willing to go through though, I just happened to have pretty much everything laying around with my CRX so it wasn't a big deal.

Yeah I'm starting to regret selling my dx but I was helping my cousin out so that's why I sold it to him. I don't have the time to buy a shell, I'm currently carless borrowing my dad's pickup. I only have the truck til oct 3-4 then I'm really screwed haha. I'll take an EX that has sorta high miles. Or one that needs some bodywork. But I'm not going to spend over 2k for some beat to **** car with no 1/4s or on the likes of that. If I don't find anything by oct 3rd I'm just going to buy whatever.

i wanted to do that, but i live at home with a step father that is convinced i cant even do an oil change correctly. I would LOVE to swap an engine but id need to have it finished and cleaned up in about 10 hours. so i ended up having to finance 3k for a god damn mazda protege because i needed a car.
