SOB! The plane transporting my ew HID kit burst into flames on the tarmac!

So I noticed my HID kit had been placed on HOLD according to the DHL tracking web page. So I called them up and was informed my package was aboard a DHL air liner which burst into flames on the tarmac at San Fran airport!

Thankfully the crew was safe AND DHL covers packages up to $100 even if I didnt purchase insurance on it.

Bad part is that the SELLER has to file the claims through DHL. NOT the BUYER. I wrote to VVME at all the emails I could find for them and told them I expected to hear from them shortly with the shipping number of my replacement kit.

If I dont here from them by tomorrow night Ill just file a claim with Paypal and get my money back.

My luck is amazing!

The chance your package was on a plane that caught fire is so slim yet you defy all odds. Such drama... seriously you need a padded room man.

^We'll call em up and you can hear it.

She put me on hold for 5 minutes and comes back. "Uh, the plane your package was on was involved in a fire on the 28th. Your package has been flagged as damaged."

So I was like "Uhh when was I going to be informed of this?"

So I was bored yesterday and checked the tracking info on my burned package. It was at the Allentown terminal! I then checked my email, the HID company had also sent me tracking info for a replacment kit!

Werid, I called DHL and then told me that because there was smoke damage to ALL of the packages on the plane they were refunding $100 for every package that was on the plane regardless of damage. So I was excited to find out that after my package was inspected for actual burn damage it was then sent through to the destination, ME!

No big deal, I fingured it would be pretty much be a kit for spare parts.

Then, today at 10am DHL man pulls up. I just happen to be detailing the car after my GF mowed the lawn and my cars windows were down (long story). Anywho, the DHL man goes to the back of the van and I stand there rubbing my nipps in anticipation and he comes back with 3 packages!

Somehow I ended up with 3 HID kits.

2 6000k H7 kits
1 4300k 9005 kit

Jackpot! I installed one of the H7 kits and then switched out the ballasts and bulbs, everything worked in the two kits! So now I have a spare H7 kit and I plan to use the 4300k kit in the fogs.
