99% there!!!

Finally...3 years after buying my bone stock S13 coupe...and $25k later, I have 99% of the parts I need to boost my car. I got everything out today to check to see what I still may need. Simple stuff, like gaskets, nuts, bolts, etc. All I need left is my ecu ROM tuned (which I've already paid for, I just have to ship it out tomorrow), and a down pipe. Everything else is sitting on my kitchen table...driving my girlfriend crazy. Here's the pic I took...

It's pretty comprehensive as far as I can tell. LOL

I bought the car, Audi green paint job + some body work, JDM Silvia front end, 4300K hid's, brand new fully built motor with all forged internals from HRT racing in NC, transmission, Spec stage 3+ clutch, Fidanza flywheel, Nismo motor mounts, C's short shifter, analog gauge cluster, Apexi N1 EXV coilovers, Nismo LM GT4 wheels, Toyo Proxes TR1 tires, 5 lug swap, z32 front brake calipers, Hawk HPS pads, Circuit Sports cross drilled/slotted rotors, SS clutch & brake lines...I'm sure I'm forgetting a bunch of stuff...plus all the turbo parts I have waiting for me on that table. Yeah, you read that right. It all came to about $24,xxx.

You should have bought something newer for $25k.

I know love for a car you can't help but I will not spend more than $6,000 on extras on my GSX.

BTW where did you get the intercooler piping?

If I had $25k all in one shot...then yeah, that would have been the way to go. But, like I said, that was over almost 3 years. And yeah, I'm happy with it. With the exception of the motor build I've done all the work myself (with a friend), so that does give me some gratification.

I'm certainly not rushing. I've been getting this stuff together for the last year or so. LOL But thanks for the kind words. I'm really hoping I can get all this installed with a friend of mine during the course of a weekend.

I didn't pay that $25k all at once. It was over a period of time. Besides, I wanted an S13 to work on. I know there are probably a lot of people that would have done things different...I don't mind.

I got the piping from a brand new generic kit someone was selling. I think I may need more different pieces though.

One should be able to do whatever one wants with one's own money as long as the possible consequences are examined beforehand. If someone has the means to spend 25 stacks on a 240, a new Honda, or a few Maserati BiTurbos, so be it. Idiocy only comes into play when the means are exceeded for non-practicality, or when one is'nt a masochist. What is that, a gt28rs?

Thank you...I completely agree! It's an S14 T28 BB that's been fully rebuilt, rebalanced and ported.

I easily got over 25k into my 240. Probably approaching 30k actually.

It's VERY easy with 240's. Whatever you want.....some aftermarket company makes it for you

If you need any advice or help with the install let me know. I know pretty much every bolt and nut on these things now

I have a question for you:

If you have a fully built motor, why the heck are you using a small t28? I would of assumed you would atleast go with atleast a gt30. From my estimations, the T28 is good for a innefficent 400 whp, and by looking at your total cost I would assume you have a motor that can support more than that...

For example using a rough estimate you need a turbo pushing about 44 lb/min for 400 whp, that T28 is around 40 MAX.

Yeah, a s14 T28 is no good for 400whp. Not even close. A GT28 will make 400whp, and pretty efficiantly there as well.

240's are very light cars. You really don't need that much power for a very fast car.

I REALLY appreciate the offer. And I'm sure I'll end up taking you up on that. lol Is there anything I need to worry about that isn't just straight forward? Anything info/advice you can offer me ahead of time? I plan on starting this when I get back from vacation towards the end of this month.
