weyerbacher puts out many great brews. insanity, blithering idiot, merry monk's, quad, etc. you pretty much can't go wrong picking something up from them.

oak aged beers are the new black :P

I don't drink oak aged much... I'm having a hard time drinking this beer due to the very strong flavor... its not well balanced, but not bad... its just... wow...

that beer is more suited for a chilly winter night in front of the fire, IMO :P i am not sure i could touch something like that on a night like this :P

try to find something not aged in bourbon barrels. some breweries are aging in pinot noir (russian river supplication), chardonnay (russian river temptation), merlot (allagash interlude), etc.

yeah... not much choice in the matter now lol.

received 24 bottles of different beer through the homebrewers club I'm a member of. 24 of us went in on it and paid $50 a piece and got a case of different beers. Nice deal considering some of the cases cost over $100...

I just so happened to chose the weyerbacher tonight...

just put down the Festina Peche and Founders Rubaeus... I'm not usually a fan of beer with fruit or berries... but both of these were very very nice. I'd certainly not mind keeping a case of either in the apartment for hot days (or for ladies)

haven't had aprihop.

the dogfish head took a bit of getting used to. I was very tart, but eventually grew on me.

tossed the Tommyknocker Nut brown ale into the freezer for 20 to cool off. I don't like especially cold beer, but I don't like warm either... just needs to be a little chilled...
