trx 450 R or ER?

Ok so I'm buying a trx 450 and im having trouble deciding to get a R or a ER. Only diffference is the R is kickstart and the ER is electric start and weighs 13 pounds more and costs about 300 more. I've had a few kickstart dirtbikes in the past and never found it a problem but the electric start seems nice since my friend has one.

Anyone care to give me some input?

You pretty much covered it. Electric start is a nice convenience, but costs more. If you think you'll have a problem with the kick start, get electric. If you want to save 300, get the kick start. I've have kick start 125 dirt bikes and a 250 electric start polaris quad. I personally don't mind the kick start so i'd go with that.

Er trust me, its what's in my garage. A lot of people who ride mine for the first time stall it a lot no matter how long they've been riding. Having the electric start is nice.

Good call! Those 450's are a pain in the ass to start when you're trying to move around the track, dead nuts tired!!!! I miss mine, but one thing I don't miss is it NOT being an ER (though they didn't have them in 04 IIRC)

Now post up some pictures of that bad boy! It's amazing how much faster these quads get every year (i.e. a stock 07/08 will whoop a fully worked 04)

I'll post up some pictures later tonight. I took them with my camera phone since I didn't have my cannon with me and when I went to upload them to photobucket they seem to have changed their **** around so my computer wasn't having it.

My friend also has a 07 450er and he has a jet kit and sparks racing exhaust and it and his is noticeably faster, so I can't wait to have the money to do that.

To compare a 04 to a 07/08 just isn't fair, they are so different yet look so much the same. the 06+ come with the 12:1 motor compared to the 10:1 in the previous models.
