DSM Torque Converter question.... help!

Well my sister's car has died (again), and lucky me... I get to fix it. Its a 1993 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS... automatic, 2.0, fwd, non-turbo. As far as I know, its a 4G63 engine. Its already gone through two transmissions since we bought it 2 years ago, and now it has eaten the flex plate. So it makes a GOD AWFUL noise when started because the starter gear grinds against the flex plate. Amazingly, it still does start and run.

What I need to know is... what other cars (years and models) can I use the torque converter from? Id assume any first gen DSM's with a 2.0. Can I use a tq converter from a FWD turbo dsm? Im looking for cars that use the same part to make my search at a junkyard easier. The dealer wants $1100 for the torque converter and flex plate. The car isnt even worth that.

You should be about to use one from a fwd tubo, should be the same O.D. Whne you put the flex plate bolts back in, make sure you loctite them. The like to come loose. You can fix the bolts without taking the trans out.
