Looks Like I'll be on a bike soon (It's here! Pics!)

Just got home from the Yamaha dealer, and having checked out the 08 R6, R6S and FZ6, it looks like I'll be pulling the trigger on the FZ.

With the way I'll be riding most of the time, the comfort of the more upright stance is alittle more important than the added speed of the R series. The lower price and insurance doesn't hurt here either, as well as added gas mileage.

Picked up Thursday. It's a really awesome ride!

I took the MSF basic rider course. One of the instructors even gave me some track day info. I've got a few months of riding under my belt, mostly on low power cruisers, dirtbike and scooter (none of which were owned by me).

Yamaha's got a fairly nice deal going on right now. Decent financing, with a free track day, and a year NEBSA membership with purchase.

That FZ1 is a really nice bike. I was looking at that as well, but I didn't think I needed the extra go, and insurance for the time being.

I talked to the dealer again today, looks like early next week!

Where do I start with modding....hmmmm

I've got my sights on the Laser Extreme Quad as far as pipes go. Thing looks sick-nasty coming out the back of the FZ.

Probably going to wait until the end of the summer to do anything significant though, gotta rebuild the funds, and save up for a new engine in the supra as well. But when the time comes, i've got some big streetfighter type plans for the fz

Very true...although more important right now, would be an engine that runs.

7M seized up on me, even with a full rebuild, I'm hesitant that it will run. Saving up for a 1jz swap now
