why am i sad about selling my bike?

OK well today was my last day with my FZR1000. its and oldie but goodie but i am really sad seeing it in my garage knowing that tomorrow she will be gone. I had no major problems with her but she is just old. but its been in my live for 18 years. it was my dads and then it was mine. and i am selling it because i am just tired of he nickel and dime this bike is giving me. sensor here leak here, not being able to find parts for it. all that stuff but yet i still miss it and it still feels sad to know it is going! I think what did it is my wife took a pic of it with her hugging it sayin aww we know you don't want to go. i still have time to stop the sale but i have my zx12 waiting for me! whats wrong with me know that i am getting a newer bike! i am sad just typing this!

sounds like a good idea to me...how much were you going to sell it for anyway??? i'd say it'd be worth it to just take some time, save up the ammount you would've made from the sale. or i'm sure you can find some other stuff to sell...you have an integra and an rx...we both know you got tons of stuff laying around

she already has her lic! we did that back when we knew that it was going to be a serious relationship. Even tho she has not had any seat time in a LONG time but she already said she has no interest in riding my bike at all. She says its way to powerful for her. The motor was rebuilt right before i got it and my dad put some custom pistons and custom cams in it. so its totally different then the zx 6 she owned a while back that she only put 248 miles on when we sold it! she rather be on the back seat then ride on her own

you forgot my civic that was in the first pic too..lol i was going to sell it off for 2000, even tho i know i could of gotten more for it. I do have stuff laying around i need to make a pile and start selling it off and see what happens. I spoke to my wife lastnight about it and she fully agrees that i should keep it and save up and get the bike i really wanted. I was going to buy an 05 zx12 with 13k on it. But i really want a cbr 1000 or an R1. It really looks like i am going to stay in the yamaha family and just save up for an R1 and call it a day. My bike runs with min. problems nothing that some real wrench time can't fix!
