My 04 WRX is currently at IAG performance in MD to get some work done because I have a spun rod bearing. I bought an extended warranty when I bought the car and the warranty company wants to see receipts of oil changes. I have done my own changes and have not kept receipts of when I bought oil and filters. Does anyone have any suggestions or know of someone that owns a garage that can help me out? I need to find a way to prove that I have done oil changes so the warranty company will pay for the work.

good luck with this one. If a shop would do this for you, you could be looking an insurance fraud. I know if I owned a shop, I wouldn't even do it for a close friend. Do you know any shops personally or did you pay pay for the filters with a credit card or check?

technically it's not insurance fraud, it's warranty fraud. i bought the filters and oil at Pep Boy's or Advance Auto Parts. I don't remember if I paid for everything with a credit card every time or not.

That's kinda what I figured but I think I may have it covered. Keep your fingers crossed for me. Hopefully if it all goes well then I will have a 2.5 hybrid motor and a bigger turbo when all is said and done.

Just make receipts on your computer and say you did it its worth a shot, I mean what's the worst thing they can say no.

If it all works out then I am thinking of a VF-34 for now. I don't want to go too big since I am planning on getting a lot done once I deploy.
