What kind of kart did you get? Depending you may be able to bring it out to a SCCA Solo event!

Check out http://www.orevillekartclub.com/directions.html, its a small outdoor track not to far outside Allentown, PA. Englishtown, NJ's Raceway Park has a kart track you could look in to. Thunderbolt Raceway will be opening by the end of the year and will have a track or 2, it should be a impressive facility to say the least.

I've searched http://www.ekartingnews.com, it has a wealth of knowledge & the people are great. I've been looking in to a couple karts for when the munchkins get older!

Beat me to the oreville link. I'm gonna be living right around there in about 5 days, should make for some interesting free amusement on Sundays when I'm not racing my own cars. If you, Mr. original poster, end up going there let me know.

Cool, I am having two carts delivered on monday, both need some motor work but it should be fun !

A friend was telling me about the SCCA, you can bring shifter carts there..

Anyone kow of any off the beaten path places?

As for which karts you can, and can not run with the SCCA- I would ask the experts over at Philly SCCA Forums. There are handful that are running in the region this year, and they are always looking for more recruits.
http://www.phillyscca.com/forum/index.php - talk it up in the SOLO forum.

Other then the places I listed above, the only other tracks are Beaver Run, Pocono (i think they have one), and then some tracks in the Virginia's. In case you haven't noticed the Delaware Vally is not to accommodating when it comes to racing a motor vehicle!
