i was offered a job to work for tri point engineering. they are a mazda performance/race shop and they are located in canoga park just a few miles outside of los angeles Ca.

i took the job and some pics

yeah the gas sucks. its about 4.20 for 91 octane

ME personally, ill be honing my skills on rotary engines and EMS tuning. the rotary work ill do will range from modest rebuilds to even porting. the EMS tuning will mostly be Motec Aem Greddy and a few others. that doesnt rule me out from doing other things, but these are my natural talents so me and the upper management feel that these will be my strong points.

THE SHOP does literally everything u can imagine. engine swaps, rebuilds, turbos, superchargers, roll cages, racing seats, welding, machining, anything and everything. all the machines needed to do the work are all in house. i met the other techs that work there and they are crazy gifted.

this is the shop that builds the speed world challenge Mazda6's, they take it very seriously and their work is a reflection of the shops reputation so everything has to be perfect. this mazda team has won the championship numerous times and they are very professional. its extremely intimidating to stand next to these racecars and knowing that they were door to door with the likes of acura and audi, and they beat them too!

i was even next to that roll caged rx8 and hearing the things it may become just gave me goosebumps.....3 rotor, turbo, 600 hp, speed world challenge....my goodness!

anyway, i dont kno when im leaving, could be as soon as 2 weeks. im on sick leave from work right now and i see the Dr on thursday to see when i go back to work...if he clears me...well.....i wont have much time....
