where can i get rid of a car thats blown up

I have a 98 ford windstar mini van... i'm assuming it's blown considering there is a hole in the oil pan... I got it with a bad noise to it, was trying to figure out where it was coming from with a stethoscope mechanic tool. literally 30 seconds after starting it the whole engine block oil pissed all over my drive way. The van itself is immaculate, just hit 100k i think and elderly owned... just damn engine needs replaced. i hate giving it to junkyard and having them clowns at ezpull get there hands on it and ruin it; would like to make some what of a profit off of it.

Still runs though but I shut it off before I did any worst damage to anything else.

im in the same position as you man.. Not quite as bad but am staring down 5-6k worth of repairs ( if I were dumb enough to get nissan to do it ) on something that isnt worth it. Best bet is to list it on here, craigslist or sell it on ebay.. or part it out that way. IF.. I said IF i were to sell mine now, it would be as is no warranty with the list of repairs needed to be done ,of course you could always list it here I am sure someone needs a van.

junkyards wont give you much, probably like $200. best bet is craigslist. thats what i do with all my beaters that end up taking a crap. buy them for 600-800, then once they blow up, i sell them for 500 on craigslist.

Local scrapyards in my area are 14.50 a hundred. If they are the same in your area you should pull 500 plus if you have a way of getting it there.

Have at it... I will refuse to post this on craigslist again... people don't read the ad and ask if it runs and i tell them the issue even though everything was listed there.
