Confused about a situation

I was in the car with my cousin late at night, and we both had 1 beer.. im 21 hes 19. We literally pull off his street to go get something to eat. We look left and right and 4 squad cars surrounded us. They said something about a witness saying we were transacting drugs. Of course we werent but we still had the 2 empty beer cans in the car cuz we couldnt dispose of them. So the officer pulls us over and asks us about drugs.. I said i swear to god i have never touched the stuff in my life let alone seen it.. So he asks us if we had anything to drink.. he saw the cans in the back of the car and asked my cousin to take a breathalizer. He blew a .006 and they said they're gonna let him go with a warning and go dispose of those cans in your trashcan or a neighbors trashcan if you dont want your mom to see it. Then the asked for my drivers liscense he asked "and your like what... 22" and i said 21 he said ok.. checked my liscense.. the other guys let and he said another officer would handle the information. He asked my cousin for his phone number and then gave us our info back and told us we were done here. He didnt specify if we were getting anything in the mail im just curious if they can write something else after the fact or if ill actually get something in the mail. He didnt even ask me for a breathalizer ( 21 factor i guess)

In short does the officer have to tell me hes sending me a citation in the mail?

Are me and my cousin considered seperate entities?

I would say this incident is over.

Don't drink and drive and never drink in your car. You could have been poped with an open contaner charge and providing alcohol to and underage person. I would say you got off very lucky the police must have been looking for something or someone else.
