Murder's Audi

EDIT: looks like this thread can stay here. Most likely there's gonna be some reasonable modding going on this summer =)

Here's my DD. Not the fastest car ever, but it makes a great daily driver with a few mods thrown in for fun.

The short and not very exciting mods list for whoever's interested:

Performance Mods
-Swiss cheesed airbox FTW!
-Forge 007 diverter valve
-Chip
-MBC
-4 Bar FPR

Exterior
-Color matched headlights
-Clear corners
-Debadged rear
-Chrome grill trim (came with the car...I like it)
-Euro plate
-Angel eyes
-Sprayed engine covers

Interior
-Full 42 Draft Designs LED interior lighting
-Forge polished Al shift knob
-Vent mounted Revo boost gauge with OEM needle modded in (looks super OEM )
-Hardwired GPS
Soon to come:
-OEM Black honeycomb rear valence
-Engine bay refreshment; billet caps, powdercoated intake manifold/valve cover.

Then perhaps if money permits (in no particular order)
-Coils/spacers/swaybar/control arm adapters
-Full exhaust including K03s swap
-Carputer
-FMIC
-Water meth

For those curious, right now it's probably pushing between 210-220 bhp in a 2900lb car. With full bolt ons and the K03s I can probably get it near 300bhp, but really not sure it's worth it.

LED's comapred to the stock yellowness (they're bright white). I'll take some better pics at night...they light up my interior like a football stadium.

They're not blue. Just the crappy cell pic.

Preview of valve cover action:

Guts of a headlight assembly:

Not too modded because someday I hope to acquire one of these I love Z32's.

Oh and for the hell of it:

Pardon me officer, while I get my registration out of the glovebox:

Yeah, it's not a quattro, hence why it weighs several hundred pounds less and rocks on the highway

The quattro system in the TT is really not that impressive from a performance standpoint, IMO. It's different from the quattro in the sedans (A4, S4, etc) and I haven't seen anyone lay down a decent 1/4 mile in a TTQ. Nice to have in daily driving, but really isn't much of a performance advantage. I got the opportunity to rip in a TTQ roadster and its handling limits weren't really any better than my car's.

The non quattro I drove seemed slow, maybe because it was auto but it was nothing like the manual, drove more like my civic, whereas the quattro hit hard at 3000 and forward, maybe cause it was a manual..need to drive more variants of them
By the way I agree on handling..the quattro tends to understeer pretty hard, and gets no tail action

I've never driven the auto versions...but I can imagine they're slowwwwww.

Also there's a 180hp, 225hp and 260hp versions. The 180hp comes in FWD, quattro and auto whereas the 225hp only comes in quattro. Both those are the 1.8T. The 260hp has the 3.2L VR6 and is only available in DSG with quattro.

They all tend to understeer unless you know how to whip em around (have to get creative with braking late). The rear sway bar on my list ^ tends to help that out.

And btw I've beaten a 225

Well they arent my fav cars to begin with, they have decent power and move pretty well even in stock form, but the steering is very heavy and the shifter gets very notchy in the higher RPM, at least in a few that I have driven. Duno how the hardtops are, but the verts are priced rediculously high compared to the MSM, MR2, and S2000, although they offer more luxury, but less performance from a drivers standpoint. Love where you placed the gauges BTW, very creative. Whole thing is lookin good.

Thanks

Yeah like I said they aren't the fastest things in the world especially compared to some other stuff in the price range, but the coupe is remarkably practical for driving everyday. It has a LOT of trunk/interior space and you can fold down the (pretty much useless) rear seats.

I'm 6'2" and sitting in an S2000 is like being slammed in a closet for me TT accomodates my height nicely.

Haha you could say I was very "into" his photography... That and I just really like the TT, its a nice car so I was "admiring" the gauges fairly close

Hey thanks 420 and that is one CLEAN DSM I like it

Anyway the temp gauge...it's because of a messed up instrument cluster. I have another cluster sitting in my room, hopefully going in on tuesday when I meet up with a guy I know in York who programs them. My current instrument cluster consistently reads one tick too high on the coolant temp...it didn't used to do that Like you'll start the car ice cold and it'll already be at one tick. Apart from that, my center LCD is completely screwed, my speaker doesn't work and one of the backlights on my tach are dead...so yeah that cluster needs replacing for sure.

Anyway, here's some pics of the new wheels

Wheelgap actually isn't that bad, but it definitely needs about 1" of lowering:
