Bought a TSi to take down the track

I bought another DSM, my plans are to make a car worthy of driving to the track for some time slips. Its a 95 Eagle Talon Tsi, 5 spd with all wheel drive. The body is in great condition, but im afraid to say that the car has been hacked up pretty bad, like most DSM's. SO I have a bit of a project ahead of me.

It came with these mods:

6 Bolt Swap
FP 20g Turbo
Pacesetter Manifold
3 in. downpipe
Megan Racing Exhaust
Injen Intake
550 Injectors
Dejon FMIC
Greddy BOV
Plug Wires(not sure of brand)
Apexi SAFC 2
Greddy Turbo Timer
Carbon Fiber Hood
Strut Bar(not sure of brand)
Tokico blues/ eibach springs

The Good:

Really clean paint and body
decent amount of mods

The Bad:

hacked up, with ****ty bent I/C piping
hacked up battery relocation wiring
hacked up 6 bolt wiring for the 2G
no upper or lower timing belt cover!
no a/c
all powersteering removed

I will keep my progress up to date.

As of right now, I removed the intercooler, piping, intake pipe.

My next step is to remove the intake manifold, and put a new gasket in and redo the 6 bolt wiring with a sodering gun instead of electrical tape.

Thats why i didn't buy the car. It was a great deal but it had the classic dsm signs written all over it. I know you will get it back into great shape so im really looking forward to how it ends up. good luck with everything and keep us updated.

Yea its got your basic 16 yr old mechanic skills written all over it. But I think I can get her up and running. Check out my member journal for progress.

seemed like a decent pickup for what he was asking....but i knew from what he was asking that it was either beaten or hacked to hell. I have no doubt you'll turn this into a beast

ha obviously you have never owned a DSM, either you do it right the first time, or you dont do it at all.

Hard to tell from the small pic but does the car have 97+ Talon 17" wheels on it?

Green 2g FTW. I thought about picking this up when I sold my green GSX it was a good deal. Real clean looking car at that. Make sure you post up the progress.

UPDATE: Got a deposit yesterday, sorry, but the car was too much of a hack for me to tollerate. Made a couple bucks too. So now Im in the market for a CLEAN DSM that isnt hacked to **** by a bunch of kids with no mechanical experience. I have to say the guy I bought it from (SEAN) was really cool, and did give me a good deal.
