I was working in a house on Washington Ave. in Newtown today with the Jeep parked out on the front lawn. Around 5:30 this afternoon I heard some clown out front revving some form of car while sitting in traffic. I looked out and some punk in a dented maroon fart-can equipped 4dr civic was there tryin to be cool.

I was on my way home around 9:30 on Newtown Bypass when I saw the same dude at the traffic light at Buck Road. He pulled up next to me at the light revving his engine. Now, everyone knows that my truck has NOTHING to prove on the street, therefore proving the theory that a "ricer" will race anything. So I did the only really fun thing that my truck is capable of on the street, I fired those Super Swampers for about 30 seconds. The only thing people at the intersection could see or breathe was tire smoke. I wish I had a camera there.

Maybe he was revving on you cause his idle speed control was busted. These things are notorious for going bad on DSMs. They get clogged after 5-6 years and the rpms start to hunt. My wife's DSM use to do that. Along with the factory rally blue color (not sure what the actual color was called but everyone knows what a blue WRX looks like, lol), and 2.5 high flow exhaust, she was a real stand out driving to work at the Harvard Med School campus. Haha.

And since the idle would hunt pretty bad she had to take off a little harder at lights just so she wouldn't stall it. Took me several months to actually replace it because I didn't think it was a big deal. But it was funny how everyone got to know about her and her race car pretty quick.
