Snowboarders, need your help

Alright my current board is not wide enough anymore and I'm getting some serious toe overhang. I'm in need for a new board. I have a size 12 foot so I think I should go midwide now. It must be:

1. around 154-157 cm
2. around $300
3. look good
4. midwide

HELP.

open up your stance a bit that should help with the toe overhang for now...id wait until summer to pick up a new board for cheap

i like the chb series by gnu...i ride a 159, it seems wide i guess but is definitely a good all around board..i have size 11 boots

Check out Ride's "Fleetwood".

BTW: What type of riding do you usually do? That's a huge factor in board selection.

I would suggest that you look at 2007 boards, as many of them can be had for 30-40% off from retailers who are looking to off old inventory. I picked up a Salomon Patrol last weekend for $335 marked down from $480.

All I can say is dont buy a burton. I broke like 4 the past 2 seasons. I broke 2 twins and now am forced to ride a dominant thats way to small for me and ripped off half of my backside edge today.

not widen your stance...turn out/rotate your bindings a lil bit...that should also help you ride switch a lil bit better to

rotating the stance... some times it's not comfortable.

Burton boards are fine, can be pricey, but park boards tend to be cheaper anyway.

Some people use risers to lift their bindings up (instead of buying a wider board).

I will add another stay away from burton. I'd say stick it out for the rest of the season, it's almost over anyway, and get a left over during the summer when the 08/09 stuff comes out.

All the Burton hate... LOL. Only Burton I've seen have major problems is the Dominants... and that was 06-07 season. Friend went through 2 of them in 3 months. It was all under warranty tho so he got replacements, but still.

Of course, I didnt ride this previous season and probably wont be this season so I havent seen the "newer" boards.

I just put my 05 Burton Floater which is a wide board up for sale... http://www.tristatetuners.com/forum/...223#post791223

Don't buy a board midseason, boards are dirt cheap in the summer.

All that hate on Burton, only because because the percieved notion that Burton sold out by becoming big in the industry.

Though Lib Tech's Magnetraction and banana technology does look interesting----maybe I should give away my Forum Seeker next year...and get one.

Does anyone know the sidecut(width) a board should have for a size 12 boot? Cause alot of the companies won't list it as midwide but they will list the sidecut.

I just got my new Option Signature 154 cm Freeride Snowboard ( search Option Snowboard at dealstudio.com), this board gives a stable ride and amazing response. Very pleased with the product. I'd say the freeride board is the choice for the true freerider looking for a reliable, durable, performance-enhancing board.
