i wouldnt go to ritz personally, especially if you're looking for mid to high end gear.
the two shops mentioned above are great for guys who live in the ne philly area but since you dont i'm not sure what to recommend aside from a few websites. the golden rule of purchasing photo gear online is to never ever get sucked in by all the places who advertise lower pricing than everyone else. prices are basically standardized give or take a few percent and if a deal seems too good to be true i promise you it is. there are quite a few tricks they play and just do yourself a favor and play it safe by going to one of the very few reputable online shops out there: www.bhphoto.com www.adorama.com www.cameta.com and there are others which i am not familliar with, but if you dont personally get a recommendation about a shop and know 100% that its good, do not buy from there.

I can vouch for this. I tried to purchase my camera from two budget price online shops, both of which played games with me until I cancelled my order from frustration. Unless you buy hundreds of dollars of their overpriced extras, they won't ship you your camera.

all my photo gear is from BHphoto. except my bag which i got at Ritz. service, pricing, shipping all excellent. You can also go there, it's in NYC though.
As far as the other online "discount" shops. They are all scams. I've been looking for the best deal on a 40d. saw some online shops advertising it for $499 (insanity, lowest actual retail is $1050 used) read reviews of the stores before purchasing. EVERY REVIEW on 3 shops that had it listed for under $1000 was negative. What happens is, you order online, they send you an email to call them and confirm your order. When you do, they try to sell you overpriced off brand accessories or warranties. You decline them, and then get rude with you and then tell you the camera you ordered is either over sold, not available or better yet, the not the US model and or a knock off.

If you're in Lansdale, Cardinal Camera on Main Street is a good place.**The people there are really helpful, too.
If you're in downtown Philly, Calumet is great.**They're right by the big movie theatre off Columbus Ave. Also, I was just at Imaging USA in Tampa talking to B & H, and they said they just started this great Student Discount program, so if you're a student you can get some pretty good deals from them: http://www.bhphotovideo.com/edu
