Was pulling away from in front of my house today, and happened to do so right into the middle of a VW caravan through the city.

Nice Corrado in the bunch, love those cars.

yo i heard about that i was at ardex with mike hangin out and his friend texted him and said there was a bunch of morons that pushed him off the road cause of some cruise.....oh wait it was you lol

hahahaha no they didn't push me off the road - just couldn't get over to the turn I needed

that was the other half of our carivan to philly dyno works...we had a nice little dyno day.

the remaining half was on the side of kelly drive helping out a supercharged a4 that caught on fire!

Dyno, eh? I've got to head down there in the spring once the winter tires come off...real curious to see the numbers I'm putting down.

It was a nice little day, my car put down a lovely 310whp/331wtq on my old turbos tune, which is a measily 14psi.

TST's very own JJM4LIFE was there as well. I will let him get into the details of his numbers...

well the guy had a fully built motor with a supercharger that didn't have any intercooling...so it wasn't with the wiring, even though german cars are known for their electrical problems.

wow...I felt real bad at first...no intercooler, though? With that said, don't feel bad at all - that's a cheap and dumb move (sorry if you read this, but it's true).

well you can get away with running a supercharger without running an intercooler, but obviously you may run into such issues. he was in the process of fabing up an AMG intercooler...but now he has to do some internal work.

Well I made that remark because I saw the vid of the GTI that caught on fire, and I constantly hear from some of the euro guys of wiring burning out, electronics going bad, coilpacks blowing out, lights going out, speakers not lasting very long...I even see some of the newer mercedes and such with only one of the HID lights working..I just wish that VW of America would take care of these issues before the cars reached the selling point (maybe moving the majority of assembly lines out of mexico), I would definately have a lot more love for their cars than I do, but unfortunately their quality for the most part doesnt seem up to par compared to Honda, Toyota, etc. I didnt mean to make fun of the guy thats really sad, but running as much power as I am assuming he did with no intercooler is just asking for trouble.

P.S. den9 dont get upset lol I have much love for diesel VWs...at least the motors are almost guaranteed to last forever, just not the rest of the accesories..im sure there are exceptions to this though like my friend's 2.0 golf that has had no problems at all except for burned out dash lights, and motor mounts

haha yea the car fire def. made for an intersting morning. seeing all that smoke in my rear view wasnt what i was expecting.meanwhile ive never seen someone so calm watching their car burn..
D- i think its fair to say "he had no idea whats going on"
the car somehow managed to limp all the way down kelly drive and to the shop, just to die out right in he middle of the alley the shop is on.

oh, and i put down roughly 360/360.. not terribly thrilled.

i spoke to that guy a couple days later...at that time he thought he flooded a piston.
