My Band Needs a Singer!

I know there are a few musicians on here.... any of you know anyone that might be looking to sing for a band? Preferrably someone with experience, but we've been looking for the 'right' person so long, i'd be happy to find someone at least with the talent to sing. Music is hard rock/metal/progressive. Believe it or not we actually want someone that sings... no screaming/growling needed. Female OR Male. Don't be shy!

Bands myspace link is in my sig.

*edit* Just ignore the vocals that are on some of the songs. They were put down by our guitarist to sort of map out a melody for any prospective vocalists.

I'd love to sing for a band but even though my range is pretty good, my voice is only average. Good luck finding someone!

Thanks for the comments guys. This is my brother-inlaws baby... Hes the one singing and playing rhythm guitar. You can definately tell his singing style is influenced a lot by Serj from System of a Down, and that he's unsure of himself.... Its the first time he's ever sang but I'm confident with vocal training he could hone his voice into something good...but hes first and foremost a guitar player and would like to not have to do both. His bass player and drummer left him in a lurch right as things were getting rolling, so I came out of 'retirement' so to say and also recruited my best friend whos a drummer to join as well....SO..that said... you never know if you are a singer or not until you try. If anyone is seriously interested (or know anyone that may be) shoot me a PM for lyric sheets and mp3 info.
thanks!

John

I took a listen to your songs. It sounds like your brother inlaw has a particular style/sound that he is going for that would be hard for most people to fill. Tell him to do his own vocals and get some lessons. I took voice for about a year and it totally turned everything around for me. I highly recommend it. Just make sure he finds a good male teacher that has a lot of experience. Female teachers are good too, but they almost never know how to help you with the lower register vocals.
