Tyler Park during the flood

Went out to Tyler Park yesterday after the rain stopped to take some pics. I couldn't believe how much flooding there was. Anyway, here some of the pictures I took, thought i'd share....

You can get directions, etc from that site.

That looks like a whole lot of water! I ended up going to newlin grist mill, but there wasn't too much action.

Very very nice pictures man.

I wonder if any of the homes or anything around the park got mangled?

The Nesh didnt really even flood...my house practically backs up to it. It almost always floods over the dam at the park.

Awesome pics! On another note, the recent rains surely brought about an abundance of fungi. Amanita Muscaria var. Guessowii:

Well, I appreciate and have an interest in all mushrooms, be it actives, edibles, poisonous, or neutral. Amanita Muscaria IS psychoactive, but not in the sense of psilocybian mushrooms. The active alkoloid is muscimol. However, when eaten fresh, one is likely to get very sick/ end up hospitalized, as you need heat to convert the ibotenic acid to muscimol. There are also trace amounts of muscarine, the poison found in the deadly amanitas such as virosa and phalloids.
The greatest attribute of muscaria is the vastly increased concentration afforded by the experience. There are also some more very interesting effects in regards to cleansing(yes, I am being intentionally vague). However, for one looking to get "high" these are not the best option. Of course neither are psilocybe mushrooms, for one merely looking to see colors might end up curled in a ball crying for mommy or trying to reattach pieces(or, more accurately, points of consciousness) of hirself from sundry vibratory frequencies. Both need to be treated with the upmost respect. As such, there are many rewards.
