Looking for a New Computer

Is it possible to buy a new computer without having Vista installed on it??

I'm looking to buy a new PC as i'm basically sick of my slow/****ty laptop and i'd much rather have a PC over a Laptop as it is...and the G/f wants one for school/work so I'd figured I'd shop around but everywhere I go they all have Vista on them...Not that it's horrible, but I've been on a few computers with it and I'd rather have XP I guess I'm just used to how it works and dont wanna change.

Any Input on a decently Priced yet quality PC would be great to...I'm not totally dumb in the sense of computers but I have no idea who has the best processor out there anymore.

Scott, check out Magnus computer on Route 70 across from the old race track. I believe that their website is www.kehtron.com. I buy most of my parts from them when I build my own PC's, but they also sell entire systems at very reasonable rates that you can customize. I'm sure they could build you a good rig with XP if that's what you wanted. As far as I know pretty much all major manufacturers will only sell PC's with Vista. Although, you can always wipe the Vista install off of something like a Dell and install XP on it.

Thanks Ed, That just so happens to be right across the street from my dad's shop...I have a better feeling dealing with a smaller business rather than the Best Buy and CC. I'll have to check them out
