Another Warning, don't buy from iraterides.com

lol i must have REALLY bad luck. If you guys remember in the other post, I bought some car parts for me and my friend from jdmautogames.com and I the stuff was never shipped (bought it back on the 17th) and finally this weekend i filed a clam with paypal, and the company told paypal they didn't have the stuff in stock and refunded my money. Well I listened to my friend again (him telling me his friends bought from this website) i bought "his" parts from iraterides.com. And guess what, today is the 25th, and i bought his parts on the 19th from this site, and nothing what so ever from them. So it looks like ANOTHER dead beat website... i can't believe this. I desided to buy my stuff back on tirerack.com, and i bought it on the 23rd and already got my parts in. So it looks like if you are trying to save a few dollars, unless you want to wait forever or have to deal with BS, then its best just pay the extra few dollars and get it from a real website.

jdmautogames..crap
iraterides...crap

Here is a quick tip to keep from ordering parts that may never come.

Always call a company you are dealing with for the first time.

Personally, if i can't find a phone number, I simply move on to the next place that has the part I want. If you speak to someone who answers the phone xyz racing, there is about a 90% chance you will get what you order from them. A ton of these parts websites are just guys drop shipping stuff from wholesalers to you, chances are they touch less than 50% of the parts they sell. There is nothing wrong with that, as long as you have someone to talk to if there is a problem, and AIM, email, PM's etc just doesn't count when your money is in someone elses pocket.

I even do this for private sales, I have people call me, or I call them. I've been lucky so far that I havn't gotten screwed by anyone other than Gruppe-s, and even that wasn't too bad.

Everyone gets screwed at some point. I always prefer to buy parts from an actual shop I can walk into. That way, if there is a problem you know where to go to resolve it. It's much easier getting things resolved face to face then over the phone.

Yeah I hear you man. Well this iraterides place which i thought I "was" going to get my stuff... seems even worse then the other jdmautosports. I filed a clam with paypal, and with jdm they refunded my money right away. This place hasn't even done anything. Well they have 10 days to contact paypal if not then it becomes my choice what to do.

Well the update is I got refunded fully from those dead beat websites because of paypal.com. Thanks to paypal, they got the companies to refund my money due to never reciving any contact what so ever, and never getting my products. I have to say if you are buying online, use paypal because atleast you got some extra protection there. Most likey now I am buying everything from www.tirerack.com or www.performancecenter.com because those are the only websites that sell what I need.

You have had a problem with Gruppe-S?? I can only say great things about them so far. He has called with updates almost weekly on all of my stuff. But, every shop has some bad experiences.

Geforce- STOP buying from these weird shops man. Order from reputable companies. If you need some good websites or anything, PM me and I'll try to help you out. I've ordered from a ton of different people.

Whenever possible use your credit card to help protect your purchase.

Your experiences with Paypal is news to me. It use to be that they did squat for the buyer and protected the seller.

If paypal and credit cards are not available to use consider that if you want to file any kind of meaningful action against a person/company that you have to do it in the state where the item was purchased.

There are a lot of great shops that are local. Why even bother ordering from another state.

Well, my experience wasn't terrible. However, of the three times I ordered from them, I had issues twice. The fist time was fine. The second time, I called to order the helix up/downpipe combo. This was listed as a complete set up, with all gaskets and a CEL fix. When I called, I confirmed this, and stated that I needed it shipped express because I was doing the install on a particular day. They assured me it would be cool. When it came, it had only half the gaskets, and no CEL fix. When I called, they said 'oh yeah, we ran out of gaskets...sorry.' No call to let me know so I could order them. Luckily Suby dude hooked me up with the next day air on a set of gaskets (which sucked ass, btw), and they sent the CEL fix in time for me to put it in.

The third time I attempted to order from them was one of their used parts sales. I wanted a set of mesh STi fog light covers. I emailed and pmed the one dude, and he said everything was set. About a week later, nothing, so I write another email. No response. I call, and noone knows anything about it...forward the guy back the email where he said he would ship it, and nothing.

I know they have a great rep, but I hear just as many stories of "I waited x months to get the wrong part shipped" (just ask criz) as I hear "I got what I ordered quickly".

Personally, I doubt I would do business wiht them again, too many good companies here on the right coast to pay for shipping across the country.

That sucks. It's like every shop though, there are the people that get lucky and the ones that do not. Personally, I can only say good things so far about them. All parts have come when promised and I also recieved calls to make sure I did get them.

Maybe they are working on getting their act together? I don't know. I've been dealing personally with Tom. He seems to know what is really going on and how to deal with customers.

I agree with you though, you can only give a person or shop so many chances. I think you were very fair in giving three attempts. A shop has one try to keep me as a customer. It's not hard to follow up and make sure the people get what they need. If they can't do that, they don't get my business.
