Noisey valvetrain after cam install

Installed Skunk2 Stage 1 cams into the B16A tonight. We adjusted the valves 3 times and still hear a lot of bad noise that grows with revs. Any ideas?

Sounds like the lost motion assemblies. I doubt the springs could be creating that much noise. The cams aren't even that much higher lift though, blah. First gen LMAs are crap to begin with, upgrading to newer GSR or ITR ones is looking like a several hundred dollar fix.

I Have the same problem but I have shims. I'm tring to find someone who knows how to adjust and measure them. I would do it myself But I'm a bit scared.

You are turning the engine over when going from cylinder to cylinder correct. Go 1,3,4,2. I see that all the time. I would guess its that if the car was fine and all you swapped was the cam then I doubt just sitting there that anything else went bad. When adjusting the valves be patient it can get to be nerve racking. Good luck

Yes when adjusting the valves it was 1342. We are going to play with the valve clearance some more this weekend.
