Computer/Laptop Help!

Ok this is a difficult one, i have a Fujitsu B series (b2630) Lifebook notebook and the harddrive on it was bad, i got it from a friend and he told me about the HD going bad. I ordered a new one. But i wen i got the notebook in my hands i realized that it didnt have a cdrom drive nor a floppy!! Im not sure wat to do, i have a IDE to USB 2.0 converter that i use for the main PC and i copied the winxp iso on there to see if that would work but nothing, im not sure if its because i had to format the hd in Fat32 instead of NTFS. I would try to use the converter on the laptop but it doesnt work with anything less than usb 2.0. Its pissing me off, So now i either hafta get an external cdrom drive or a external floppy drive...something i probably would never use again.

Anyone here have any suggestions?

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

If you use anything USB 2.0 on a machine that reads lower, the machine will in fact, read it at the 1.1 speed or whatever. I would suggest you get a new notebook lol there are a few in the F/S section

Find a place with a lax return policy, purchase the CD drive (it will probably be some sort of external CD/DVD burner), reinstall Windows and return the drive the next day.
