Hey guys I want to make one of the transparent hood shots. I took 2 pics (one with the hood open one with it closed) of the front of the car with the camera on a tripod. How do I put the pictures together to make the hood look transparent? Thanks for any help guys.

First you need a photo editing program, most common and best is photoshop. You need to put the pictures on layers the closed hood pic on top of the open hood. Now using a soft brush erase/mask portion of the hood to reveal the engine. Add a bit of drop shadow to the top picture for some added depth and voila.

If this is too hard for you i'd recommend posting the pics and someone will probably help you out. It takes like 5 min to do. I would but I'm at work.

Also Id like for it not to be completely transparent so you could like see the scoop with the IC under it.

I'm doing the advertisements and fliers for work anyways. Always in look for a good distraction.

I figured I'd give it a try...tried to white balance and fix up the picture as well.
