I am so bummed out

after having our family cat for many years, tommorow my wife has to take him to get put to sleep. not to sound gay but its going to be very hard for me to get used to not seeing him here anymore. this was the coolest cat ever, and i doubt we will find another replacement like him.

I know the feeling, when I was 13 we had to have our 18yr old car put down. Although it was a mean cat I loved it. Poor Chelsea.

had to read on, at 1st i was kind of confused didnt know cars were put to sleep also lol then i saw you meant cat.

i know how u feel man. couple of my buddies were over and shooting my cat with a nerf gun, next day i found him on the side of the road dead. not saying the nerf gun did it but it was just weird. sorry about ur loss man.

when i had my reconstructive surgery my cat bubba ( he was twice the size of our pug ) would come lay on my bed curled up, one night he wasn't there and i couldn't get out of bed to go looking for him so i shrugged it off and went to sleep figuring he was sleeping in his second favorite spot ( right on top of the heating vent )

next morning my grandma told him they had to take him to be put down because he was acting funny. i guess he was walking into the walls and falling over, he was older than me and i was like 13 at the time so i guess for a cat he was freaking OLD. man i miss him so much, coolest most laid back cat ever.

my cat was doing the same thing. he would walk on kinda a diagonal and then fall over and get back up. we took him to the vet and they told us that someone must have backed up into him and he had one side of his ribs broke and his intestons were all pushed up into his chest cavity so they put everything back and he was fine.

had my 18 yr old car put down couple years ago and my dog put down 2 years ago. Both were done in the house b/c the vet makes house calls. I was so upset.

sorry to hear that man. when my first cat was put down it sucked majorly. we now have a new cat who is awesome so theres always the future. good luck finding a new cat if you decide to eventually

my cat snickers just had 3 kittens, ready to go in 5 weeks. let me know man il save you one. one is all black and the other is black and white. there is a third which is a calico but she is already claimed.

Know how you feel man, my family has had to put down 2 dogs and 3 cats, all of which sucked a lot.

However I have to admit, the day we accidentily overdosed our one cat on Vicodin was easily the funniest day of my life. (we ended up having to put him down about a month later).

Just gotta look back on the good times.

Man, I love cats so much. I used to have 5 of them in the house at the same time.

-Oliver, my first cat, was run over by my mom. I found him when I came home from my martial arts classes.
-Niko, one of my later cats, came down with feline luk. We treated her for awhile, but she just kept getting worse, and ended up having to be put down.
-Tommy, a cat we picked up off the streets and got shots for (mine), ended up needing to be put down because his feline toxin levels were over 5x the normal limit...he should have been dead 3 years prior to that, the vet said.
-Tigger ended up one day just getting up and having no use of her back legs. X-rays showed now calcified discs and no fusing. Just unexplained half of her body was immobile...including her tail. Well, we had treated her for a year with medication and physically draining her bladder and bowel...and it just got to be too much. She would improve some days and walk a little, and others, she couldn't do much of anything. She was a very cool cat and would snuggle up under your covers, poke her upper half out, and use your arm as a pillow.

-When I moved out of my house, I had to give Dijjit away. She's doing very well, and is extremely happy when I go to visit. (New owners gave us open visitation)
-I still have my other 2 cats. Pawz and Genki. I love them both and I can not imagine life without parts of my family...and that's exactly what I consider my cats to be.
