They have to pull the engine completely out? I am guessing Volvo's are a tad bit harder then Subaru's, lol.

No, they charge by the book since the mechanics get a paid by book hours regardless if they finish the job in 3 days or 3 hours. I'm geussing this was only a 6 hour job since my uncle has removed 2 engines and installed 1 of them back into the other car in a day, in a volvo.

That's steep. I paid around the same amount to have the input bearing on my transmission replaced, and that involved taking apart the transmission.

considering stillman volvo were the only ones who didnt seem a lil wiery about doing the clutch there gonna get the job ill just mention to them tht the job take 7.7 hrs, tht very ****y but informative post has given me ammo to bring to the barganing table
