Best place to go and my AEM EMS tuned for my 2G?

I was gonna take my car to turbo trix, but after reading about 30 horror stories, Im gonna pass. Anyone have a good experience with a local DSM tuner? Ive got an AEM setup and want it tuned RIGHT, no BS. Let me know whatcha got. thanks everyone.

Alex at philly dyno works.
gsx-lex on the philly boards. Contact him to when the best time to schedule an appointment with him. He went to the aem training in Cali and has been tuning cars for as long as i known him (5+ years)
If for whatever reason it dont work out for ya, i would then check out Sean Ivey pretty sure he tunes aem

Justin Nenni from Tuning Concepts is going to by flying in soon to tune my AEM. He's one of the best tuners in the US for AEM. If you're interested, let me know. I'm not sure what he charges to tune though...I just know that I want it done right.

I was going to recommend Alex Parisi or Sean Ivey as well.

we're probably going to head over to R/T Tuning or Philly Dyno Works to tune the cars, depending on if any of the AWD cars go. He's not DSM specific, he's known for his tunes with many things, but mostly the Supra.

Is it possible to tune AEM on a Dyno Jet? I'd think you'd need a Mustang or Dynodynamics dyno...

wow...where've you been?

Doesn't Turbotrix tune AEM? If so, then I'd say it's possible, but I could be wrong.

New Jersey

On Dyno Jets you can only tune WOT, which is fine for things like an S-AFC that don't allow for partial throttle tuning. With EMS, you have to tune for more then just WOT which is why a load bearing dyno (mustang or dynodynamics) would be better because you can hold the motor at a certain RPM for fine tuning. People get better tunes because of it.

its true. while dynojets are great for WOT pulls, they can not put the car under different load points at various throttle positions. thats where dynodynamics and mustang dynos shine. they can simulate real world driving conditions much better, but they are not always the most accurate for WOT power pulls.

***NOT TRUE***...The roller on a dyno jet weighs about 3500 pounds which is a large load to begin with. So when u are just crusing on a dyno jet its very close to real steet conditions. Im able to go from cell to cell with varying throttle positions and speed to fine tune drivability on the dyno and when i need more load on the car in those part throttle situations we are able to apply the brake in different load conditions to suit where i need to be in the fuel map. and either way u should always check ur tune on the street to dial it in a lil better no matter what dyno u use. But a dyno is only a tool so the tune is only gonna be as good as the guy tuning. so just make sure the place u take it too is familiar with the system and is a trustworthy shop and u shouldn't have any problems
