So yeah, i just finished my third day without having a cigarette. Ive been eating sunflower seeds all day at work to help me keep my mind off of smoking and it is kind of helping. Only thing that sucks is when im done eating lunch or dinner, i automatically think of smoking. I can do it. Ive smoked for about 8 years and its time to stop. Plus, i take classes for criminal justice hoping to be a cop sooner or later.....i dont want to be in the academy gasping for air during the running requirements. The real test is when im at the bar on the weekend (thats what gets me every effin time). Hopefully i can finally quit for good and not gain too much weight

Dum-dum lollipops dude. Everyone I know that quit smoking bought a huge bag of dum-dums and it helped them out big time. You can probably get a bag at Sams club or K-mart for like $3.

From what I've heard the physical addiction is only 24 hours. Your past that so now all you have to do is get over the psychological addiction. I'm guessing best bet is to stay away from bars for a while. Cause what your doing by going to bars is as bad as putting a chocolate bar in front of a person that is trying to lose weight. It's cruel to yourself, haha.

Man I am right there with ya.. I am tryin to quit too,It ain easy but I HAVE done it before,until my sister came around me with a cigg a few days after..So now I am trying to stop again and its now even harder.. I will gain weight because of it so I am losing weight before I completely quit.Right now I am not smoking as much as I used to.I would say I am at a half a pack a day if that as compared to a pack a day.I guess I am more afraid of becoming a MAJOR bitch like I did last time.Just hang in there..

And the Chocolate infront of someone trying to lose weight.. its EXACTLY like that..Anyways,Good job..Keep it up and dont give in.And Gum and mints are gonna be your best friend.lol

Hey! I am trying to become a cop too! I should get my results from the test in a week or two and hopefully a date to take the physical.

I quit and then start again when people piss me off lol or i dirnk lol... but i am sick right now and that is keeping em form smoking.

i quit before for about 3 months, but then i totaled my sentra and went back to smoking. I'll quit eventually, not gonna do it forever. I have yet to smoke in my car, don't plan on it either. I like having a smoke free smell car still.

Yeah i did that for awhile the s4 was pretty smoke free but the sti nahhh. This just made me think.

People pissing me off and stress are what keeps me fromquitting completely.

thanks for the advice and encouragment from everybody....i just got back from the meet and i was eating sunflower seeds all night long haha....i didnt even think about smoking, it was way too hot and humid....i think i feel myself gaining weight already haha(prob. just my imagination).....
this weekend will be the real test

I just never started smoking at all. Problems with relatives doing it keep me from doing it. Don't like it at all, although doesnt mean I won't like the person that does it.
