So that's why i'm broke....
I'm twenty years old, soon to be 21...graduated in 2004 from cocalico high school in little old denver, pa blah, blah... In the fall of 2006 my twin brother and i decided itd be in our best interests to buy our parents' house as a result of their divorce to make life easier for everyone. the house was built in 1917 and it shows in many areas, we're working on things and trying to renovate etc...but we're not rich so it takes time Quite often i feel like something isnt going right because my cars aren't always the nicest and i dont have all of the fancy stuff...but i have to remind myself that a lot of people my age don't even have a place of their own, let alone own a house. the responsibility is huge, and sometimes the cashflow gets tight, but in a few years once weve got some equity built up and we can sell the house and take the profits to start our own families it'll be sooooo worth it. anyway, here it is...sorry for the crappy shots....it was five am ![]() My House: 7/7/07 ![]() ....the white house on the corner with the weird double doors ![]() ![]() ....my headlights are broken ![]() ![]() ....the garage and landscape need some attention ![]() ....there's a lot of old school stlye in here ![]() ![]() ![]() ....this is my favorite room ![]() ....the kitchen could use some updating ![]() ...my room, (the red white and blue is remants of my moms style i havent changed yet) and thats orignal hardwood! ![]() ....master bath, again the retro styling and refreshing it is high on the todo list ![]() ....guest room, for the friends that never seem to go home ![]() ....and my dog, because he was there hes a golden retriever/coc ker spaniel mix, thats why hes small... there's a lot more to the house...my brothers room which was a disaster and not fit for photograpghy, half of the attic is drywalled and made into a bedroom, the other half storage...my brothers bathroom which is also a disaster and only the size of a closet, the utility room, which has no washer or dryer for now...(i love taking my laundry to my mom's house and picking it up fresh and clean a few hours later)... and the basement which is damp and just storage it's rather big for us and our one roomate...but it feels good not to be tossing money away on rent, and its nice to have a place for everyone to hang out with no rules. i hate that im the one that literally does allllllll of the cleaning, i spent hours yesterday doing it....but a clean house is worth it. anyway, enjoy. -Jason

you have avery nice house there. it may need a little work but it doesnt look like any thing that you couldnt accomplish. Plus for only being 20 (congrats on turning 21) your doing very well. I think owning a home instead of renting is the way to go and it speaks volumes for your character and maturity.
PS is that a car part on the kitchen table? lol |

Dude, you have a retard stool!
My frined E has one of those and if all teh chairs are taken up, someone has to use it. It won't fit a normal human being on it and it's uncomfortable as all ****. Looks like a crank

thanks guys... yeah we do have some work to do, and it was not my first choice. but we can work with it.
Jon you can stop by anytime, everyone else does....no one even knocks ![]() an yep we do have the retard stool, my mom liked that kind of stuff but didnt have room for much in here new place so a lot of her stuff was left here. since im barely over five feet tall and only around 130 its alright for me to sit on ![]() and yes, that is a crank on the table its our "centerpiece" and definitely a conversation starter. one of the guys works at a chevy dealer and was amazed at how bad of condition it was in after he tore it out of a cobalt with only 4K miles on it so he brought it home to show us, and it hasnt left the table
