Nope, he also drives an automatic It's not a big deal though, I'd just like to know what I'm doing before I go out and buy one.

I knocked a tooth off of the reverse gear in my buddies Rabbit GTi when I learned how to drive stick.

I think the hardest part is just starting off from a dead start, once u get going its not bad. Also having to remember to push the clutch in when coming to a stop. I learned on my friends 91 Acura Integra. It has a worn clutch and I was able to learn on it. I have to say though, that learning on a 4 cylinder car is alot harder I think? I drove a few V8 cars and i feel like u don't even need to revve it up any, and u don't even need to let off the clutch that much.

my g/f got into my car and drove it right away. Let me tell you my clutch is like a ROCK. It's SO friggin hard and it needs to be in the floor. Just take what you know about driving stick and do it. That's how I learned. I never drove stick before, bought my car, and just drove it.
If you can't find anyone you can give my car a try. It's a rough car to drive stick in. Clutch is rough and sometimes the synchros are in a bad mood. If you can drive my car, you can drive anything IMO. |
