Here the link to the article.Basically they are looking to have pay-per-view where you would be able to get a movie like spiderman 3 on the day its release for anywhere from $30-$50.Would you pay?

f that, y pay $30 when i can either option 1. go to the movies and pay like $9. option. 2 wait for it 2 appear somwhere online. option 3. wait until it comes on dvd for $20 and get it. and there's always the good ol $5 bootleg copy

If people had a dvr they could record it the day it comes out!!!! Bootlegs will become 100X better.

If it was 30 bucks its then comparable to actually going to the movies for 2.

Tickets x 2 = 18.00
Popcorn/drink = 15.00
Gas = 5.00

38.00 bucks just for 2 people to goto the movies. Id rather sit on my couch, press the OK button and spend 30-40 bucks. Half the time in the theater you also have to worry about the asshats you have to sit with. People talking and fooling around. People getting phone calls. All the moron pre-teens acting like douches trying to be funny. I kinda hope they finally put this idea atleast to the test and see what happens.

If I had a 42" flat panel TV then maybe...even then I might only do it if I had a 60"....

Seeing a movie on TV does not compare to seeing it on the big screen

lets see, i downloaded spiderman 3, watched it on a 20 inch widescreen monitor, and enjoyed it...

i think i 'll stick to doing it completely free

im some nuckle head will pay. i mean look at the Tyson fights people paied like 40 or 50 bucks to see a 1 min of a fight.lol so there woill always be someone to buy stuff for a price like that

I have to tell you that the last few times I went to a move opening night I have lost all faith in humanity.

In fact when I went to go see 300 with my brother there was a gang fight the police had break up during the previews, a little kid in front of me who was like 12 was throwing popcorn and hit some thick necked loser in the row in front of him and the thick neck loser gets out of his seat and starts yelling at the kid at the tops of lungs and ends his tirade with "If you weren't underage I would kick your ****ing @ss", and the absolute worst, some lady brings her 3 year old to watch 300 and the kid cried the whole time. What f-ing moron brings a 3 year old to go see 300.

So $20-50 is a bit high, but gooddamn I would consider it especially since if you get 4 or 5 friends together, that's about how much you would pay going out to the theater anyway.
