As per the user manual which i sincerely doubt many folks read, Its located by itself in an open cool area, ive even got it raised up on little blocks to promote good heat transfer.

Ahh, but had you upgraded your 360 to match a 60 gig's specs you coulda had a ps3 20 gig and a wii ;)

heres a nifty fact: adjusted for inflation to 1977, $600 is $169.26 compare that to the original atari's launch price of $190 ;) reversed, the difference is about 70 bucks which will happily cover one game (atari came with one) my point is that we aren't paying any more for our consoles, we're just getting a hell of a lot more for the money

I havent had problems with over heating on my 360, still rockin it from launch day too. Any system is really prone to issues though, its just depends on the owner really. Ive seen both Ps3s, 360s, Wiis, Gamecubes.......and yada all broken from overheating issues. As long as the system is cared for, and kept open and the vents clear of dust, itll be fine.

Unless its one of the old PT model PS2s, those things just died on their own

Don't ever try to argue with someone who works with ALL platforms...and the only reason this "overheating" issue is around is because of the lithium ion battery recall which has also affected Dell, Toshiba, and Apple products as well.

meh...inflation. Thing that pisses me off the most is that microsoft charges you $400 for the 360, then $99 for the wi-fi adapter, then pay for xbox live subscription and now you buy a game for $60 (such as Rainbow 6: Vegas) and then your paying more money on the Xbox live marketplace for more maps and stuff. Honestly I think its getting rediculous, but I know im gonna go spend the god knows how much on that new Xbox HD.

and hey dave take a look at this http://gizmodo.com/gadgets/home-ente...ing-247994.php

haha Elite ps3???? you decide

as a former repair tech for ebgames... EVERY SYSTEM HAS HEAT ISSUES!

they all get hot. they all have ****ty little fans. end of story... some people might as well wrap their box in saran wrap before they play... ive never had any issue with any of my systems because i keep them well ventilated... so to say one or the other has over heating issues doesnt stand much ground because it all falls onto the customer base knowing how to use and set up their product.

Only 479 for a 120 gig 360 lol

Not for nothing bro but it's pretty obvious you buy based on specs over having a better value or better games. The point being you would have been telling all of us Atari buyers all about your Intellivision. Just like the PS3 it only had 19 games when it came out too lol
