which bank do you use? complain/compliment here

Bank of america blows. Here the latest problem, not even going to get into the previous ones.

on 3/21 I walk into the bank with 200 dollars. I deposit 20 into savings and 180 into checking. I specifically ask the teller:

"This money will appear and be credited to my account the moment you put it in correct?"

worker: "yes sir"

I give her the money, she does the work and gets me my receipt.

One more time :

"so if i go home to transfer this money, it will be in there right?"

worker: "yes"

I go home and pay my CC bill online with 150.00 from my checkings. That leaves atleast 30.00 in there. The transfer shows up on my checking account balance but not on my CC balance.

Today Im looking at my statement and now it says i took 150 from my checking account on 3/21 and overdrew it and on 3/22 I deposited 180.00.

Now im hit with insufficient funds fees. I hate my bank, Im going to go in tomorow and demand not to pay. If they even show a hint of desire to make me pay, I will go postal. Anyone else hate their bank? Gota good one? ill need one soon

I have wachovia and like it a lot. Being old I've used a lot of banks. I would have to say there only downfall is they don't have "commerce" hours. But you can do everything online so its not that big a deal imo. I have had 0 problems with them and very pleased with there online banking and bill pay.

Gl with whoever you choose...

I have navy federal credit union. No probs at all, besides not having teh commerce hours. I can deposit money and it's available right then. I can cash any check under 2,500.00 and not have to wait a day or 2 for the check to clear.

i have PSECU (pennsylvania state employers credit union) but i absolutely love them, all of their online banking is instant, you can put 20 bucks in and turn right around and pull it out and your statements will be up to date! its wonderful!

AlaskaUSA - where my Dividends have been going untouched since 98
Randolph-Brooks FCU - Direct Deposit & Savings
USAA - AUTO&PROPERTY account (Best Banking & Insurance service in the world).
Members 1st - Rates are ridiculous but I only use it when I have to cash a check.

Pretty much, don't do what i'm doing. Its a bi tch maintaining all of them. It will all eventually break down to just USAA & Alaska USA. All I have to say is that if your military, be a member of USAA before you get out.

Yeah, a friend of mine and his wife work at the HeadQuarters in SA. That place is massive and more secured than a few bases i've been to. hahaha. I turned down a job offer there & still regret to this day.

If you can get into USAA(other than Jseoul and I), do it. I think if you parents were in the military, the kids can join..

American Savings = AWESOME
Commerce = AWESOME
Valley National = EXTRA AWESOME!!! This one is the best, the manager always waves and greets me when I go in and says how are you. When I need help she is the first one to offer assistance. Never ever had a problem. Very friendly staff.

if you can get into trumark credit uniun its the only bank you will need. they have the outright best loan rates ive seen. I use them for everything and when you deposit cash at the tellers window its in there immediately. also when you use a checking card or something the transaction is immediate and shows up immediately online for you to check. some banks when you withdrawal from an ATM dont register it till the next day or worse
