So much for the slow housing market...

Just got a full price offer in 4 days!

I need a new place to live.

Anyone selling in Northampton Township?
or know anyone selling?

While there is a ton of inventory out there right now, much of it is still over priced. I'm really not in the position to pick-up a $450k "TLC needed home" right now.
It's going to be tough to weed through all of the junk, but I have a little bit of time.
We'll see.

No, I'm in Montgomery Township for the past 5 years. I've been kicking around this moving thing for about a year now, back when I looked at a joint in your development.
I took the plunge on Tuesday and put it up for sale.
Kind of caught me off guard when my Realtor called today.

yeah i kinda thought the same with my initial look at housing. there seems to be a lot on the market, and its not selling that fast, but i didnt see many 'deals'. if i'm not mistaken, $250-300k used to get a pretty decent house, but not so much any more. its ok, i'll do what i do with car stuff and have some patience and wait for the right opportunity to bite me in the ass

Plenty of homes to be bought and plenty of people looking right now.
We had almost 20 showings in just the 4 days, not counting the people who came back twice.

The properly priced homes in nice condition are still selling at a brisk pace.
It's the over priced ones siting on the market for 120+days.
Like the house directly next to mine that has been for sale since August.

I was going to hold out for hope of a bidding war, as several people were very interested.
I was asked (forced ) to accept the offer and be happy about it.

You know, nothing over the top....

Treelined drive leading to 6 acres, 6000 sq. ft. main residence with 4 car detached garage outback fitted with 2 lifts.

<$500k please.

Seriously...
I'm open to anything.
We're checking out an old farmhouse on Barley Road this week. Sits on 2 acres with detached garage.

I want an old farmhouse with a detached garage! If its too small / not enough for you but it looks nice and not too much, let me know . I want something somewhat out of the way, little bit of land if possible, dont need a big house though... and I love those old farmhouses... they have such character.

There are several in Northampton alone. Issue is, they can be fairly expensive.
There's one that sits off Pulinski Road behind Spring Mill CC. Simply amazing.
And priced accordingly at $900k.

The wife and I would both love to have one.
We're checking out more in the weeks to come and I'll keep you posted.

My realtor looked at one off of Taylorsville Rd. a couple weeks ago, but unfortunately she said it needed major renovation/construction to make proper use of it. 1br 1ba house, 1br 1ba apartment, 3 car detached garage with an unfinished 2nd floor, and a cottage that is currently being leased at $800 a month. $409k... in case you're interested in something like that and have some extra left over to renovate. oh, there's a neglected tennis court in the back too . the only reason something that price was a consideration for me was because that $800 a month would help a lot toward the mortgage, but i def cant swing it if it needs major work.

Not that I've inquired, but I have heard it's way over-priced, by about
$1million.
But, checking out a place on Creekside Drive right behind it.
8 acres but with a Colonial.
Long shot.

Need at least 3 bedrooms, assuming I bring the wife and kids.
Where is Taylorsville Road?

Taylorsville runs north out of Yardley and toward New Hope. I believe this house is in Washington Crossing, but it doesnt sound like a fit for you without finishing the space above the garage. Sounds like too much of a project for most from what my realtor said.
If you find anything thats 2-3 br along your travels, but not as nice as you were hoping (i.e. cheaper), let me know... it might be more my style. I don't mind a bit of a fixer upper if its within my abilities/budget.

Barley, possibly. The other 2 are dreams.

I wouldn't be looking at these if I hadn't purchased my house I just sold 5 years ago. Cash burns a whole in my pocket. I need a monthly bill just to save a dime.
