This has been going on for like 3 or 4 days for me. I have no problems with some internet sites, but Google won't load and I cant get on AIM without trying it like 10 times.

I read an article about people in the new england area with comcast not being able to get on Google either.

Anyone else experiencing this??

What does a dns server have to do with not being able to ping an IP address?

Try the same stuff with 216.239.37.104

Also at the command prompt type "ipconfig -all" and post the results.

the same problems go for my GFs computer. The computers are not networked, but share an internet connection through a router.

if you cant ping the ip address its a bad cache somewhere on either your isp's end or your local router is ****ed, reboot your modem, and factory reset your router, as long as you know how to re-set it back up if you have it configured for anything...

i guess first just power down your modem/router for a few minutes and power them back up (no harm will occur)

edit; also, give comcast a call

technically they are networked, but for some reason out computers were never able to talk or share files. Thats what I mean by not networked.
