What credit card do you use?

I currently have a bank of america card, but I will be closing it shortly. I am not going to support a company that is supporting illegal immagrants. I have good to great credit and was wondering if anyone had any input on some credit cards. I want low interest and no annual fee. I dont need a miles or rewardsprogram. I really want to know what they are like customer service wise, do they have online payments available as well as online statements.

Thanks

yeah, my current card gives me 5% back on gas purchases. But I use cash or debit for everything because I hate having bad debt. It wont be an everyday type of card, just for the emergency and then pay it off at the end of a month or two.

I have Cap One, Chase and a Bank of America debit visa currently. My biggest gripes with Chase has been mysteriously moving up my payment due date every month without notifying me (which they claim they did via letters-BS!).. Other than that, I haven't had any problems with Cap One and Chase. I was able to purchase 40 yr old Virgin on dvd with my points from my Chase Universal Visa.

Cap One. Love it. When I call with questions or to redeem points, an English speaking person with no accent answers the call. < That means alot to me.

All my banking is done through Commerce. I have a commerce debit/check card and a commerce visa which I put a $1000 limit on for an emergency. Very easy I just do an online transfer from my checking to my credit card if I need to make a payment.

Now, what's the deal with that? I saw this issue being discussed on Fox News, but I dismissed it as right-wing malarchy to get high ratings. I'm not sure what's going on with that. It's my understanding that BoA is going to start running a commercial where they show a hispanic-looking man becoming a cook, then opening a BoA, and then starting a business (or something to that affect). I'm not sure if they said anything about illegal immigration. It just seems like legal immigration. I could be wrong because, again, I don't think I have the whole story. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

P.S. I'm interested mostly because I will be going to open a BoA account tommorow - unless, Fox News is right about the ad.

I have a US Airways Visa that i like a lot. It was issued through B of A but for someone that enjoys traveling and that also travels quite a bit for work, it really pays to get TONS of miles from this card.

My suggestion would be to get a card that gives YOU something back. Miles, points towards a car (like a GM card) or whatever. In a sense, its FREE money that you are passing on by using a "regular" credit card.

And if you are a baller, get that Black card mang. LOL. Ive only seen/met one person who had one - its nuts - he can close down stores and shop in private just by flashing that thing. I think he even purchased a new CL600 on that card Must be nice right? hahaha

Good Luck with whatever you pick.

What they are doing is offering credit cards to people who do not have a social security number and no credit history. All you need is a 3 month banking history with no overdraft. It started in one bank in LA and recently has spread to more than 50 banks in LA.

They didnt exactly come out and say they are targeting illegal aliens. But there is no other reason a person would not have a social security number unless they were not a legal resident of the United States. That combined with the fact that it is being done in LA, where the largest concentration of illegals reside can really only lead to one conclusion.

I agree. I have a couple of cards (one a BOA), but they are just for an emergency.

I have a Citi Dividend Platinum card... I use it for bigger purchases, otherwise I prefer to pay in cash. I don't carry a balance on it ever, so honestly I don't know what the interest rates are. The perks are that it gives 1% back on every purchase, and 5% back at gas stations, convenience stores, and food stores with a $250 cash back limit per year.... I did hear recently that they are going to scale the 5% back a good bit though.
Either way, I get checks from my CC company... I dig it.
