I have a 84 Monte Carlo SS. But i got a olds 455 for it and i have no clue how i'm going to get it to pass emissions and i'm trying to make a streetable does any one got any ideas for this

isnt 84 old enough where it doesn't have to do emissions only visual inspection? you could always get a 2nd gauge cluster and swap them out so its under 5k miles for the year and you will be exempt

either find someone to pass it for you or disconnect the speedo around 3500-4000 miles.... oh and its not old enough for just the visual insp

Yea i know its pass the visual insp. And i know what you mean about the under 5000 miles thats probably what i'm going to do but i can talk to my uncles brother inlaw to see if u can hook me up on emissions

put brand new cats on it and crank the fuel down. 90% chance whoever checks it wont know what hes looking at anyway

If you drive less then 5K miles a year you don't have to pass emissions, thats what they mean.

Also, I think YOU have to get it registered/inspected/emissioned one time, and then keep it under 5k until the next round...that is when you will qualify for the under 5k deal.
