My older brother picked up this gem for a great deal. I was mad because I saw it first and took the number down. But I moved too slow.

1978 Datsun 280z 2+2 5spd
2.8l inline 6 SOHC
70,485 original miles
all original body and drivetrain.
1 Owner
Maintenance records back to purchase in '78

We have already started planning the modifications. First is the body work, molded fender flares, old school 16's with a nice neg. offset, complete shaved and molded body. As far as engine, we are contemplating rebuilding the existing motor and boosting it since it only has 70k, otherwise RB25DET.

Finnally this is my younger brother's '02 WRX. He was in a front end collision a while back so he did some body work, and dropped a VF34 in along with some other upgrades.

You ***s the Z owns and all you notice is the wrx. Honestly that's a mint piece good find. Slap on some wats or ssr old school black fender flares riveted. Also they have the sweet carbon lips you can add to the front. Do it up stat.

I knew everyone would go for the WRX so thats why I put it last LOL. Thanks Shawn, the thing is sweet. Even the leather on the shifter is more mint than mine! He even got the original window sticker with the car!!!!

the z is clean as all heck!! I was alwas a fan of them in the gold/copper color, but the white is nice, and if it's the factory paint? it seems to of held up well.

Thw wrx is ok, the front end doesn't seem to line up too well around the drivers side headlight. and the wing isn't my taste. But the rims are the sex!!!

Yeah the wheels on my little brothers WRX are the Advan RGII's. He had them before D tho

The headlight bracket is broken in the one picture but thats all lined up now. If it were my car it would be wingless but its cool either way to me.

I was shocked when my brother told me he was buying this Z. He wasnt too much of a gearhead before, but in the past few years he's been getting into it. I guess I infected both my brothers LOL! Now they surprise me with thier knowlege and taste. Too bad they will never be as fast as me though!!

Haha I knew everyone'd go for the WRX.

I had the opportunity to buy a 280Z earlier this year for $250 (rusted frame). I wish I did, and then bought a welder and fixed the frame myself. They are such cool cars. There was a 280Z in Grassroots Motorsports a while back that had 17x8s in front and 17x10s out back, 3-inch exhaust, cage, fully-built engine. Thing was disgusting.

That one is insanely nice. 70K miles *drool*

S30's are awesome. It's on the list of cars to build when there's a little more money around. That thing looks nice and clean and should be pretty awesome once you guys get some wheels and suspension on there. You could also turbo the L28 if you want. There's a lot of people that do and it's a pretty stout engine. Check out www.hybridz.org for a lot of good info and more ideas of what to do with that thing than you can imagine.
