One small little problem...Its in New Zealand!

All said and done, purchase price+shipping to Baltimore port= $5250. not bad. That includes all customs costs, it comes with a clear title. I will have to pay a duty charge at the port which is 2% of the purchase price of $3800. I'll have it title and registered for just under $5800. I'm a little freeked out about this so I'm pulling a $10k insurance plan on this thing.

I'm planning on selling this thing and bringing more over seas if this goes well. I really, really, really want a Morris Mini woody wagon, but this one will do for now.

I'm taking a gamble on classic cars that get great mpg's. At the past few cruise nites, Ive had a couple of $7k offers and one offer for 9k for the rusty yellow one. If it was mine, it would be G-O-N-E.

So this is it huh? Beautiful, definitely worth the time shipping it over. Look at that cute little gas pedal.

Very nice car, I do have to ask why you didn't buy one in the us? I know I've seen them for sale on ebay and there's one in Allentown right now. Don't get me wrong though that one is REALLY clean.

Everything I have seen in the US is rusty, and if it isn't it goes for $12 to $15k
Too much salt here in the US. This one has never been molested.

Looks nice reminds me of mr. bean. I saw a vid on streetfire.net that had one turbo charged it was pushing 220hp and was a rocket.
Here some vids of a mini with a honda engine in it.

There is a company inthe south doing the conversion
www.gomini.com

This purchase was meant to be. I got home earlier and there was a copy of Classic Motorsports magazine in the mailbox, addressed to me and I have never subscribed to it or even seen it before. On the cover is a classic Mini and says "BIG FUN with 10 little Minis"

OK, So the seller sent me an email on Tuesday July,25 stating that the car did not get on the boat, and that he would try again next Tuesday(Aug.1).

I have sent 5 emails inquiring about the car's status with no respnse from the seller. I am starting to get a little angry. At this point I have no idea if the car is on its way here or if it is still sitting on a dock somewhere
