my poor wrecked rex

so last night, on my way to a nice evening...i happened to rear end an suv. totally my fault and first accident (i feel like an idiot), i went right underneath an suv. sitting at a red light, the light turned green, traffic moved, i droped something, traffic stopped, my rex got wrecked.

i then tried driving my car...which ended up in a nice smoke cloud. so ryan came over and we found out that my radiator hoses were getting chewed up by my pullies.

thus we called tripple a and had to wait over 2 hours for a stinking tow truck (where we ended up talking to a guy with the black wrx who just joined). if we knew it would was gonna take that long, we coulda ate dinner, it was obsurd.

that is the end of my story and venting. later

That's just about the same amount of damage I have on my STi. It sux no matter what amount of damage you do or don't have.

It has taken over two weeks as of today, and I still don't think I'll see it until next week.

Anyway, sorry to hear about the axCdent!

Best luck to you man.

<EDIT>
** BTW: The quote for my car was 4k, which includes a new AC Condensor which was bent/bowed back.
</EDIT>

Thanks for the heads up naSTI. sorry to hear about your accident too. was your radiator support bent back as well? mine was hitting my pullies. did you have any body damage or was that 4k mostly for internals?

ryan, the adjustor will be out next week. but i am heading over to the shop today.

Just p1ssT that I haven't gotten my car back by now, otherwise, I'm sporting a '05 Matrix (woohoo, a dream car).

Well, my USDM bumper beam shoved the "vertical" radiator support beam, and pushed it back, which did three things:

1) Moved the hood-latch out of alignment (Hood don't close, plus it got tagged and bent too).
2) Being the vertical is tied to the "upper" Rad support, the upper got bent downward slightly.
3) Lightly pushed the A/C Condensor in at the middle, bowing it slightly.

The A/C Radiator did not touch the Main radiator (or what would subsequently be fans, hoses then pullies) like your car did Tom.

No, I had no damage to mechanical, alignment, frame or even electrical for that matter. Just the the parts above plus the grille and hood.

I suspect Tom, you are not too much worse off than I, but you did get your main radiator pushed back enough that it made the car undriveable at the moment, which may call for a few extra parts needing work than mine.

Best luck dood.

Awesome. Hope that it doesn't take as long as my car, to get back. My **** has been out almost a month now.

I can't speak for the workmanship just yet.. I haven't seen the final product, but so far I CANNOT recommend Liberty Toyota's body shop, called Liberty Collision. They are on Rt.38 in Lumberton, next to Miller Subaru.
