BADASS Philly Condo's.Pictures...(Eagles neighbor)
We are currently working at a condo in Philadelphia, and the guy happens to be Brian Westbrooks next door neighbor. It's pretty cool to see the guy in life. Anyway, the "condo's" are actually in an old high rise wearhouse. All of the steel i-beams have only been "clearcoated" over. They have the yellow pencil writing still on them, with angles, equations, measurements, all kinds of stuff. Here are a couple pictures and I will upload more. The place started out with ALL DRYWALL, they drywalled over all of the beautiful brick . Also, the ONLY LIGHTING the place came with was an SJ cord hanging down in the kitchen over the island You walk in the door after taking the elevator to the 2nd floor and look down this hallway (the wall wash recessed lights aren't turned on, they highlight the brick beautifully) ![]() Looking from the kitchen, you can see the hall that you just entered on the right, with all of the new conduit for lighting (keep the wearhouse theme is what the owners said) ![]() A look at the steps ![]() A view from the bottom of the steps, looking towards where the kitchen table will be, looking out the windows is a perfect view of Center City... ![]() I didn't tell the truth about the ONLY light being the SJ cord, it also came with this porcelan that the owners wanted to retain :curses:

The view towards center city (my brother was taking pictures, he isn't the best but you get the idea
![]() The kitchen section, the recessed cans will be boxed in with the same wood/stain as the cabinetry, and also the "track" lighting will eventually have pendants when they pick them out. Where you see the track is where the SJ cord was literally just hanging next to the ibeam ![]() A view from the Master BEDROOM. The glass is seperate from the outer glass. THe bedroom is boxed in with glass on that side to keep the view of the city :salute: ![]() Here you can see that they have their own little rooftop balcony. Westbrooke has all kinds of gay plants on his deck

Here is what you see when you look up above you, standing on the first floor under the 2nd floor...
![]() ![]() Another look in to the kitchen, island directly in front, and BTW, all of the way to the left is the refrigerator, which is a built in but was pulled out to do some electrical... ![]() Here is what you see while looking up when you are in the kitchen. To the very left of the picture, you see glass. That is the master bedroom, followed by another picture of the glass... ![]() ![]() This entire wall (along with the hallway) was covered with drywall when they redid it. It really is cool to see the old brick though. The conduit is all new, as it was just mc behind the drywall previously. The original wearhouse was all brick and cinder, no dry wall. ![]() looking from the kitchen to opposite wall... ![]() The cut in recessed lights in the custom cabinets, and yes, that plumbing pipe will stay visible... ![]() AND THAT DOES IT. Next time I will tell my brother to actually turn on the lights while taking pictures. There is accent lighting ALL OVER the place and you can't see a damn thing

These are at 11th and Washington BTW. They are the Bell View (???) Condominiums. The original prices in 2004 for in the 300's, and for the 2 bedroom condo's (as pictured), they are now selling for $600-700,000. They are literally one of the cheapest places I have worked at (also the smallest), but BY FAR the most unique.
Another cool option is in the parking garage, EVERY SPOT is wired for a 240v 2post car lift. It's a 20k option, and the parking spots are EXTREMELY expensive. |

Also, my brother forgot to turn on the lights (we did literally $10,000 worth of lighting and electrical over a couple of days (removal of the MC and changing it over to conduit also) and all he could do is turn the damn entrance recessed lights on low (on the dimmer!) There is accent lighting ALL OVER the place. Oh well, still a sweet place!

If you are ever in old town, take notice of the Wire Works Condominiums. This place is literally the old Wire Works factory (make/process/produce all kinds of wire). We also did the lobby for that place. I have never seen so damn many hot single (I think) women in one place!!! That's another cool place to live, however, I am unsure of price. They were willing to pay a lot for a little bit of electrical work/design though, so I imagine the theme is carried throughout (not sure who did the electric for the rest of the place when converted to condominiums, most likely one of the union electrical companies).

THere were a couple of things that needed to be finished up (some of the drywall for instance, and also above the kitchen cabinets that I pointed out). The floor and brick will than get a good cleaning, and that's it! So yes, what you see, is very close to the finished work. They want to keep the industrial look as much as possible
I think it's a very unique thing to do, however, I would never personally want to live there |

I am a huge fan of Industrial Style housing. Last year while going to school for Architecure I had the opertunity to design a home in that style. Needless to say it was one of the more interesting / fun to design homes that I have designed. I love homes that expose the structual parts of the home. If I could afford it, I'd be all over that place
