Its a free mem. stik that some medical vendor gave to all the residents. Sorta a new way to transport patient records. Cept mines telling me that its a read only, whats that mean?

you cant make changes or edits to the file because it is locked. right click on it and go to properties and security and take off the read only box

Did it have like brochures on it from the company? It may be locked and just be capable of showing you those brochures.

Is there a PHYSICAL lock-switch on the outside??

Try formatting it or checking the "read only" properties. (Right click -- Properties)

try formatting it if there is nothing important on it, if not a hammer works well.

right click file > properties > at the bottom there are 2-3 check boxes. uncheck "read only"

if that doesn't work, you may have to check the "archive" box if it isn't already checked.
