My dads friends has a modded g35 and i met his buddy with a modded one one night. Both had exhausts, and the one had a intake. The one with out the intake sounded a lot better. They basically sound the same as stock ones but just a lot louder. I forget what brand exhaust they both had i will try and find out but it was real nice. I def reccomend an exhaust because it made the car sound awesome, but i have no idea what it did for performance.

No offense to anyone out there, but I heard a bunch of G35's at one of the TTP dyno days and they all sounded horrible. I like the stock sound much better than what I heard there. Obviously there are all kinds of different exhausts and I am not sure which ones I heard. So, I guess my only advice is to really find people with modded ones or download some soundclips. At least from what I've heard, it's possible to go horribly wrong with the exhaust on that car.

He is looking for G35 Coupe not the sedan as it will sound different on the sedan since it uses a different muffler. However you can also try 350z's since they are pretty much one and the same. You should swing on over to www.my350z.com

The ones I heard were all coupes, not sedans. It may just be me, but all the ones I heard sounded like crap. I'm not saying everyone does, just the ones I heard that day.

I agree I love the stock sound of my exhaust i think it's so amazing, I drive through tunnels and overpasses just to hear it more .

If and or when i go FI I will be going with a high flow cat over test pipes, even resonated test pipes make a raspy exhaust note. The only exhaust mods i have done is replace the factory Y-pipe with an aftermarket one. Other than making my exhaust sound a bit meaner i dont think it did much of any thing.
